November 10, 2022: More Cocheco Show Quilt Photos and Off to a Retreat!

Greetings dear readers! Later today I leave for a 3 day retreat with about 40 other members of my guild. This is my first such gathering since the pandemic and I’m really looking forward to it. We’ll be meeting in Kennebunkport, ME, about an hour’s drive away. I’m bringing FIVE projects with me so I’ll have plenty to work on whatever mood I’m in 😊. I should have some fun photos to share next week. For today’s post, I’m sharing more photos from the Cocheco Show. Enjoy!

Happy quilting to all! I’m off to finish packing…..

Be kind, be grateful, and cherish each day, Gladi

So many beautiful quilts, thank you for posting all of these wonderful photos! I especially love Susan Copp-Silva’s reproduction of the baby quilt, the quilting is fabulous! I never thought to do that! I do it in rug hooking – echoing the outline of a pattern but I’ve never done multiple rows of a simple quilt design. Love it! Jan in MA

Oh my, the quilts in the last two posts including your own Garden Joy, Gladi, are just so beautiful. Amazing works, amazing quilting and so nice to see hand quilting amongst them too including your own. I love hand quilting but have never ventured further than echo lines. Seeing these is so inspirational, a feast for the eyes. Thanks ever so much for sharing them all.

By now you are probably back home from your retreat. Trust you had a convivial and productive time.
    Thanks for the inspiring photographs

Thank you for sharing these quilts. I recognized the oak leaf quilt. My friend made a version of that quilt too in browns and appliqued “when this you see, remember me”.
I’m sure you had a great time on retreat.
